Hangzhou Qiangdi Technology Co., Ltd. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) values your privacy and the security of your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how information is processed, stored, and protected when you use the application listed on the App Store as “DaysFolio: Past & Future” and branded in the app as “DaysFolio” (the “App”).
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the DaysFolio iOS app and its widget extensions. A separate website privacy policy may also apply when you visit other pages on the Qiangdi Technology website.
2. Information We Process
2.1 Content You Create
You may create and manage archives, moments, names, dates, times, calendar types, recurrence rules, reminders, notes, icons, display settings, and other content you choose to enter. This content is stored on your device by default. We do not upload it to servers operated by Qiangdi Technology.
Please avoid recording unnecessary highly sensitive information, such as government identification numbers, financial account details, or medical records.
2.2 iCloud Sync
If you choose to enable iCloud sync, DaysFolio uses Apple CloudKit to synchronize relevant data among devices signed in to the same Apple Account. The data is stored in your private iCloud database and is not uploaded to servers operated by Qiangdi Technology. Apple processes it under its privacy policy and iCloud terms. Sync may be affected by your Apple Account, iCloud storage, network, and system settings.
Turning off iCloud sync in the App stops future synchronization but may not automatically remove data already stored in iCloud. You can manage that data through iCloud storage settings on your Apple device. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.
2.3 Widget Data
To display content in Home Screen or Lock Screen widgets, DaysFolio stores a necessary snapshot in the local App Group container shared by the App and its widgets. This may include moment names, icons, target dates, countdown results, and the next occurrence time. This data is used for widget display and is not uploaded to our servers as a result.
Anyone who can see your Home Screen or Lock Screen may also see widget content. Choose what to display according to your privacy needs.
2.4 Notifications and Reminders
If you enable reminders, DaysFolio requests system notification permission and schedules notifications locally on your device. Notifications may include moment names, reminder text, and time information. We do not send push notifications through our servers.
You can change or disable notification permission under Settings → Notifications → DaysFolio. Disabling notifications does not delete your records, but reminders may not appear.
2.5 Purchase and Entitlement Information
DaysFolio Pro is available through monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscriptions and a one-time lifetime purchase. Transactions are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. We do not receive or store your card number, full payment-account details, or payment password.
The App may receive product identifiers, transaction and purchase status, entitlement status, and verification information from Apple to verify or restore your purchase. For subscriptions only, this may also include expiration or renewal status. We use this information to determine access to DaysFolio Pro features, not for advertising or cross-app tracking.
2.6 Backup and Import
DaysFolio lets you export and import backup files. You control where exported files are stored, with whom they are shared, and how they are secured afterward. Email, cloud storage, messaging, or other services you use to share a backup may process it under their own privacy policies. Protect backups containing private records.
2.7 Customer Support Information
If you contact us by email, we may receive your email address, message, and any screenshots, logs, or attachments you choose to provide. We use this information to answer questions, troubleshoot issues, and provide support. The App does not collect it automatically in the background.
Please do not send payment passwords, original identity documents, or other unnecessary sensitive information in support email.
2.8 Website Access Logs
When you visit a DaysFolio webpage, hosting or network providers may process technical logs, such as access time, IP address, browser type, and request status, to provide, secure, and troubleshoot the website. Website logs are separate from in-app records and do not mean the App reads or uploads content from your device.
3. What We Currently Do Not Do
The current version of DaysFolio does not contain third-party advertising, use advertising identifiers for tracking, track you across apps or websites, sell or rent your personal information, upload your moment content to our servers, include third-party analytics SDKs for user profiling, or access your contacts, photos, location, microphone, or camera.
If a future version adds such capabilities, we will update this policy before processing the information and obtain any authorization required by applicable law and Apple platform rules.
4. How We Use Information
The App processes relevant information to save and display content you create; calculate dates, countdowns, and recurring moments; provide local notifications and widgets; provide iCloud sync when you enable it; verify and restore DaysFolio Pro entitlements; import or export backups at your direction; respond to support requests; and maintain the operation and security of the App and website.
5. Sharing of Information
We do not provide your information to third parties except in the following circumstances:
- Apple services: Apple processes necessary information under its service rules when you use iCloud, CloudKit, the App Store, StoreKit, or system notifications.
- Third parties you choose: Email, cloud storage, or sharing services you select may receive information when you share a backup or send a support message.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information we actually hold when required by law, a court, or a competent authority.
Because core DaysFolio records are stored locally or in your private iCloud database, we generally cannot access them or read, restore, or delete them for you.
6. Retention and Deletion
Local data normally remains until you delete it in DaysFolio, use the “Clear All Data” feature, delete the App and its local data, or remove app data through the operating system.
Apple retains iCloud data according to your account and iCloud settings. Deleting the local App may not delete synchronized iCloud data; you can manage it in iCloud storage settings.
Exported backups remain wherever you save them. Deleting data in DaysFolio does not delete exported backups or their copies.
Support messages are retained for a reasonable period needed to resolve an issue, protect service security, or comply with law. They are then deleted or anonymized unless law requires otherwise.
7. Your Choices and Rights
You may view, edit, or delete records in DaysFolio; export your data or clear all local data; enable or disable iCloud sync; disable notifications in system settings; manage subscriptions through your Apple Account; and use “Restore Purchases” in the App to restore valid purchase entitlements. You may contact us to access or request deletion of support information we actually hold.
We cannot access or identify content stored only on your device or in your private iCloud database. You must manage that content through your device or Apple Account.
8. Children’s Privacy
DaysFolio is not designed specifically for children, and we do not actively collect children’s personal information through our servers. Children under 14 should use the App with a guardian’s guidance. Guardians should help prevent children from submitting unnecessary sensitive information in records, backups, or support email. Contact us if you believe a child sent us inappropriate information.
9. Security
We use the iOS sandbox, App Groups, private CloudKit databases, and Apple’s system security mechanisms to help protect app data. No device, network, cloud service, or storage method can guarantee absolute security. You should protect your device and Apple Account, choose widget content carefully, secure exported backups, and erase relevant data before transferring your device.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy because of changes to features, legal requirements, or services. We will provide notice of material changes through the website, in-app notices, or other appropriate means and update the date above. Where required by law, we will separately obtain authorization for new purposes, categories, or methods of processing.
